Simon Marsland
Producer / Director / Editor
With a love of all things creative and visual, Simon set up Toasted Productions in 2001. Toasted grew out of skills and contacts developed over a number of years - producing, directing and editing for several established production companies and running a regional cable news franchise. As well as overseeing the corporate side of the business, in recent years Simon has continually pushed his love of music, working closely with Boulder Creek International securing distribution for festival programmes and developing sponsorship opportunities.
Simon's had it tough recently, editing Girls Aloud programmes, co-ordinating content for Godskitchen TV across Europe, directing and producing promotional videos for two festivals in the beautiful and sunny Zadar, Croatia whilst still finding time to continue working with the lovely people at Kingspan and FKRS.
Annie Conlon
Director / Producer / Development
Annie cut her teeth as a runner in The Big Breakfast house, 15 years on she's built herself a solid reputation within the industry. She produces and directs with expertise in a variety of genres, including Factual Entertainment, observational documentary and music. Having worked on programme development for all the major terrestrial stations, she also channels her creative juices into idea generation and programme formats for Toasted. Recent credits include:

Richard Smyth
Designer / Cameraman
Richard has a knack of making things look good, whether it's as lighting cameraman or designer. With over 20 years experience in camerawork, branding and design, his skillset includes still images, motion graphics and multimedia. Camerawork also satisfies Richard's adventurous love for the outdoors - there aren't many jobs that require you to fly over Angel Falls or paraglide over snow-topped mountains.
Richard has produced work for the likes of adidas, Living TV, ITN, Sainsbury's, Co-operative Bank and Girls Aloud, as well as regular camerawork for The One Show on BBC1.
Tim A. Duncan
Audio
Tim is a composer and audio specialist. Working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years has given him a serious wealth of experience. Whether developing a full orchestral score for theatrical dance productions in the chilly Moscow winter, a simple catchy jingle for one of Toasted’s corporate clients, or mastering albums for the exotic Alison Goldfrapp, Tim’s skills - coupled with a state of the art recording studio give our audio a keen edge. Recent work includes writing the score and conducting the live orchestra for The Imperial Ice Stars shows at the Royal Albert Hall.
Tim is also an experienced video editor, completing several recent projects for broadcast. When not working with symphony orchestras, Tim has produced work for the likes of North West Arts, PH Drum and the Edinburgh Festival. He has also been known to amuse himself by working with comedians such as Steve Coogan, John Thomson and Caroline Aherne.
Emma Joyce – New Business
New Business
Emma started her working life at one of Manchester’s first online media companies back in 1998. She honed her skills while immersed in online and offline media, account management and sales for what were then new-fangled ad ideas to clients. After 6 successful years in media Emma diversified to another great love - food - managing a signature deli café, marketing brand campaigns through press and the web. With a sharp eye for marketing she developed the brand with online and offline strategies, seriously increasing the loyal customer base. We’re pleased to say Emma is now back in the world of media with Toasted, developing marketing, new business and account management with us.
Dave Vickers – Editor / Technical
Editor / Technical
After studying Media Production at Salford University, Dave began a work placement with Toasted nearly four years ago. Since then he has developed his skills working with us on numerous music and commercial productions - Snowbombing, Global Gathering and the Garden Festival in Croatia to Kingspan and New East Manchester. Dave has honed his visual flair, editing promo productions and sharpening his effects skills with various packages. More recently his love of music helped develop Godskitchen TV for Angel Music Group.
