Manchester International Festival

Manchester International Festival asked us to produce a 3 minute impactful video of the press launch for the 2011 festival. The video was to create a buzz surrounding the start of the festival for use on their website and YouTube channel.

We began the shooting exteriors of the Musuem of Science and Industry, followed by guests arriving. The main focus of the day was the 2011 festival artist’s announcements. Using 2 cameras and a live audio feed, we recorded the presentations.

Interviews were set-up, lit and filmed with internationally renowned artists and key MIF people.

The turn-around time for edit was swift as it was important to have the finished video live on the MIF website. The edit was delivered within 2 working days.

The Trafford Centre

With more than 30 million visitors a year, The Trafford Centre is the northwest's leading retail and leisure destination. This is the first truly integrated retail and leisure complex to be built in the UK.

In early 2011 The Trafford Centre became part of Capital Shopping Centres, who now own 14 shopping centres in the UK, representing 16 million square feet of retail space. Prior to the sale, we were asked to swiftly turnaround a programme highlighting the Trafford Centre.

Shooting on the busiest day the centre had ever witnessed, we also designed and built graphics, editing a tight and complete package to brief within a week. It contributed to the successful sale and continuing success of the site.

Media City UK

Media City asked us to produce a panorama to show off the accommodation in The Heart, at the centre of Media City UK, the most exciting Media development in the UK for decades. They wanted to raise the profile of the site, while demonstrating a functional tour.

After a comprehensive location recce, we shot 360 degree panoramas in each room and the exteriors, including the roof. Showing off the stunning views from the location show apartment, we used HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography techniques to allow viewers a look at the exteriors, as well as the interiors. Standard photography normally has difficulty here due to the difference in light levels.

We constructed a series of interlinked panoramas. These allow the viewer to see the apartments in stunning detail, giving a much greater sense of immersion in the environment than a standard still image. Add-ons allowed further information to be viewed in the shape of the sales brochure.

We seriously recommend the view from the roof, allowing an unusual and stunning picture over Manchester in the sun.
